Itinerary Price Trip Specifics
Day 1
Depart New York on your reserved international flight to Lima, Peru.
Day 2
Early morning arrival in Lima, also known as the City of Kings for it's world reknowned architecture and colonial balconies. Transfer and accomodations in Hotel La Hacienda.
Day 3
Breakfast in Hotel, followed by an early departure to the beautiful city Huaraz. On the way visit the Paramonga Inca Fortress. In Huarez visit the balcony from which San Martin proclaimed the independence of Peru from Spain. Lunch in the quaint village of Barranca, reknowned for it's food specialties. On your return trip visit the Conococha Valley viewpoint where you can admire the Ancient Inca Valley which gave birth to the empire. Overnight in Huaraz in the Huascaran Hotel.
Day 4
Breakfast in hotel. Tour to the beautiful Lagoon of Llanganuco, formed by the surrounding melting snow-caps. This lagoon is known for its cold waters and turqouise colour. Arrive at this mystical location by traveling the Callejón de Huaylas (the Alley of Huaylas) a ridge between the White Mountain Range and the Black Mountain Range. Continue on to visit the colonial & religious center Carhuaz as well as the buried village of Yungay and the "village of sweets" Caraz. Enjoy a traditional lunch during your journey today. Overnight in Huaraz in the Huascaran Hotel.
Day 5
Breakfat in Hotel. Today is a full day excursion to Chavin, an important archeological site, complete with and intercrossed architectual complex with internal galleries and inlaid stone sculptures. Overnight in Huaraz in the Huascaran Hotel.
Day 6
Breakfast in Hotel. Explore the Gorge of Pachacoto, where you will find such wonders as the flowering cactus Puya Raymondi which grows up to 36 Ft. and is covered from top to bottom in flowers every 10 years; Also see the primitive rock paintings, natural ponds of mineral water, and the Snow-capped Pastoruri Mountain; highest point in Peru, where you can enjoy optional skiing and boarding activities. Overnight transport from Huaraz to Lima.
Day 7
Early morning arrival in Lima. Transfer to your original Hotel La Hacienda and enjoy breakfast. Day at leisure to go enjoy shopping or any other number of splendors in this magnificent city. Evening transfer to International Airport for return flight home.
