Itinerary Price Trip Specifics
Day 1
Upon arrival in Bangkok airport, greeting and transfer to hotel. Evening group gets acquainted with each other, the guide, and the programme.
Day 2
Bangkok - Breakfast in hotel, followed by 1/2 day city tour. Visit the Royal Palace grounds, the center of power for over 200 years; The temple of the Emerald Buddha, the country's most revered Buddha image. Later transfer to domestic terminal for 1/2 hour flight to Chiang Mai in the Northern Region.
Day 3
Chiang Mai - Breakfast in hotel, followed by a city tour. Visit the amazing Wat (temples); Drive to ancient Wat Suandok. In the evening enjoy a traditional Khantoke dinner and Culture Show.
Day 4
Doi Suthep Temple - After breakfast drive up into the mountains to visit this amazing temple grounds. 3,520 feet above sea level. Inside the temples golden pagoda are holy Buddha relics. Take some time to experience the beautiful panoramic views of the region.
Day 5
Elephant Safari - After breakfast drive into the rainforest to visit the elephant camp. Take an elephant ride through the forest. While in the nature preserve visit an orchid flower farm and a butterfly breeding farm. Return to hotel, evening at leisure.
Day 6
Trekking Tour - After breakfast, drive into the mountains. Trek up the trails to visit the indigenous Meo peoples in their own village, continue to the visit the Karen tribe, antoher indigenous group or the northern Thai mountains. After lunch trek passed beautiful waterfalls and enjoy an incredible bamboo rafting experience down the Mae Wang River.
Day 7
Hot Springs - After breakfast drive to the natural hot springs. Revive your body after the mountain adventures. Visit the handicraft village; see the colorful sa-paper making process, silk-parasol makers, credol klins woven on hands looms with exquisite Thai silk and cotton; teakwood and jade carving.
Day 8
Chiang Mai - Leisure day to explore and shop at the many colorful stores and shops. Thailand is famous for a variety of incredible manufactured and handicraft goods at incredibly reasonable prices.
Day 9
Departure - Breakfast in hotel. Depart airport on your connecting flight back to U.S.A.
