Day 1
Depart USA - Fly transpacific aboard your chosen carrier.
Day 2
Arrive Beijing - Land in China's capital, Beijing. Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 3
Beijing - Your first stop today is the impressive Tiananmen Square, the heart of Beijing. Then on to the Forbidden City, Continue to the Summer Palace, the famous resort rebuilt by the Dowager Empress Ci Xi. Tonight, a renowned cultural performance caps the evening's pleasures. B, L, D
Day 4
Beijing - An exciting day begins with a stroll along the ancient promenades of one of the world's great wonders, the Great Wall. Later, visit the legendary Ming Tombs, resting place of 13 emperors. This evening you are invited to a "Peking Duck" dinner banquet B, L, D
Day 5
Beijing - More time to explore China's remarkable capital. Morning tour to Temple of Heaven, where Emperors came to pray for a good harvest. In the afternoon, take a glimpse of the local people's daily life by touring the Hutong, old Beijing's narrow lanes, by bicycle or three-wheeled pedicab. B, L
Day 6
Beijing / Xian - Fly westward to Xian, ancient capital of eleven dynasties and China's most important archaeological site. Tour the Ancient City Wall and the Wide Goose Pagoda. B, L
Day 7
Xian - Visit the magnificent Terra Cotta Warriors, a vast collection of life-sized soldiers, horses and chariots entombed with the Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Tonight, enjoy a post-dinner show at the Tang Dynasty Theater. B, L, D
Day 8
Xian / Shanghai - Visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum of History in the morning. After lunch, fly to Shanghai - China's most cosmopolitan city. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and brought to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. B, L
Day 9
Shanghai - Sightsee Shanghai's highlights: Yu Yuan Garden, the fabled Bund. Enjoy entertainment at the Children's Palace. Tonight, enjoy a thrilling acrobatic show after dinner. B, L, D
Day 10
Shanghai /USA - Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
